What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To serve the community , those in need everywhere
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 $10000 to Laingsburg Community Schools Robotics Program to fund tools, equipment, costs of competition, approximately 100 students participated. $2500 to Lions of MI Charitable Foundation for their work state wide, $2000 to Laingsburg Public Library for electronic book subscriptions so people can read at home, hundreds take advantage of this service. Additionally we build handicapped ramps for folks who need them, approximately 4 families got them. Plus numerous smaller donations to a multitude of charitable needs.

Gaming manager, which we call Gaming Coordinator and Co-Treasurer prepares the license applications to the State of Michigan, providing the State with all the required member information, officer information. He keeps the books on a Quicken computer program, manages the separate bank account for gaming, pays the bills for gaming, and writes the charitable donation checks for the gaming activity. He reports all activity to the club Board of Directors.

Return Reference Explanation
Schedule G, Part III, Lines 1-8 Michigan Charity Gaming is conducted by State license under rules of the State. Gross sales of chips are typically ~$45000 for a four day event, and the players get back about $3900 in winnings. The difference is split between the companies providing the dealers and the charity, with the charity getting about 55%. Since the players get their winnings before we deposit our share, those are the "prizes" in this gaming. The gross number reported is the gross amount we deposit for the events, and rent/facility and license fees are deducted from that. Our profit is what is left. Since there are no direct prizes as in a raffle, I entered zero.
Schedule G, Part III, Line 17a Under the rules of Charity Gaming the State of Michigan has specific requirements for how profits from Gaming can be spent, and essentially only direct Gaming expenses and approved charitable donations are allowed. The State randomly audits charities, and we have been audited a few times with no deficiencies found in how we handle the Gaming revenue.
