| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d | OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Continuing Education Program CPA has developed over the year a robust Continuing Education (CE) program for all California Psychologists, including non-CPA members. To keep their licenses valid, Psychologists must maintain a curriculum of continued education about their profession and earn CE credits by attending the various courses available from many organizations, including CPA. There have been workshops conducted in various parts of California, but more recently the internet is the more cost-effective vehicle for providing training for both the provider and the attendees. CPA provides a month webinar and some of the CPA Divisions conduct their own training via our facilities. Specialists in various fields of psychology are used to do the presentations. For all of the CE courses, there were over 2,200 attendees in 2022. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: CPA Annual Institute and ConventionCPA holds an annual institute and convention in different cities each year to provide a concentrated four days of continuing education presentations. It is attended by 300 400 psychologists. The Institute is a full day on a current advance in psychology that becomes a new special requirement by the Board of Education that all psychologists must learn within a given deadline. The remaining three days are filled with up to 5 CE presentations each day. While most of the CE presentations at the Convention are like the main CE program, there are also two keynote presentations by nationally known experts in the field. |
