29 PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE-NURSING INSTITUTE FOR HEALTHCARE DESIGN, ICN PROMOTES HEALTHCARE DESIGN STANDARDS, PROMOTES INCLUSION OF NURSES IN HEALTHCARE DESIGN, PROVIDES EDUCATION PROGRAMS FOR ITS MEMBERS AND DISSEMINATES NEW IDEAS FOR ALL AREAS OF HEALTHCARE.PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHENTS: ACTIVITES THAT TOOK PLACE FROM JULY 2022-JUNE 2023 INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:PARTNERSHIPS + EDUCATION " NIHD continues as an Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC) Advocate Organization with The Center for Health Design. We are encouraging our members to use the evidence-based design process into their projects by becoming EDAC certified. " NIHD's partnership with Emerald Expositions and the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo continues. In October 2022, we partnered to select 10 sessions and 1 workshop for the Clinical Perspectives track, offering up to 14.0 Nursing CEUs to attendees at the October conference in San Antonio, TX. " NIHD's partnership with ASHE and the PDC Summit continues. In March 2023, we partnered to select 6 sessions to offer Nursing CEUs to attendees at the conference in Phoenix, AZ. " NIHD sponsored 4 graduate nursing students from Mark & Robyn Jones College of Nursing at Montana State University (MSU) to participate in the challenge at PDC Summit Student Challenge in March 2022. This event was held in Phoenix, AZ. " 6 webinars were hosted and recorded between July 1, 2022 - June 30, 2023. These recordings are made available to all members in the online Webinar Archive. MARKETING " In October 2022, we revised and reprinted our prospective member and partner postcards. " In October 2022, we hired a photographer to capture our events at the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo. These images are used in marketing materials throughout the year. " We continued to send our monthly newsletter. These are made available to all members in the Newsletter Archive. " The NIHD Blog continues to be a place for the latest NIHD and industry news, member spotlights, new partnerships and more. " The Board continues with the "Admin of the Month" program. Every month a different board member assumes a variety of administrative responsibilities including to identify a member to "spotlight", securing a blog author, and other tasks associated with our LinkedIn page. The program is accomplishing its intent to enhance our quality and quantity of communications to members and others. MEMBERSHIP + ENGAGEMENT " Our member renewal period took place in January 1, 2023 - February 15, 2023. " We welcomed 71 new members between July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022. " Our members volunteered on varies task forces throughout the year including involvement in the abstract review process for the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo (HCD) and the PDC Summit, planning and executing the HCD pre-conference workshop, engaging in member surveys, serving on the Nominating Committee and much more. " Our virtual Clinician's Lounge | Coffee Chat series held 5 meetings. Members are encouraged to fill a cup of coffee or tea and join other NIHD members for discussions on a topic, led by an NIHD topic expert. " Elections for three 2023 board seats were held in September 2022. These included President-Elect, Secretary and Board Member for Partner Development. " NIHD awarded scholarships to two members to attend the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo in October 2022. Each scholarship granted was a full-conference pass and $1000 for travel expenses. " NIHD held its annual member dinner and reception at the Healthcare Design Conference + Expo in October 2022. " Our annual member meeting was held virtually on November 28, 2022. The meeting was led by NIHD President, Kelly Guzman, where she presented updates and accomplishments. Attendees then broke into smaller groups to socialize. " In March 2023, our Bylaws were revised and approved by NIHD members. " The NIHD board held its annual strategic planning meeting virtually in May 2023.
