What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Support and assist La Societe Des Quarante Hommes Et Huit Chevaux, commonly called The 40 and 8, in their various charitable Programs. some of these Programs are Americanism, Chiuld Welfare, Nurses' Training Programs, Carville Star (Hansen's Disease Research Publication) National Box Car Association, POW/MIA Survivors Scholarship and Youth Sports. Explanation:
Received notice in beginning of month of November and had to research on prior year's required information. At this time I am also preparing two 26 page Form 1023 for Locale 1522 and the Grande de Louisiana State Cabane, with multiple required attachments to reestablish our non taxable status because the National Office of La Societe De Femme had lost their eligibility. Once they regained eligibility we were notified that as an individual unit, we have to apply also since IRS does not have a method of reestablishing group eligibility.
