Explanation:

This return has been delayed for several reasons. During the COVID-19 pandemic the filing dates were altered and I was erroneously under the belief that November 2021 was the amended filing 2020 deadline. This was viewed as fortunate in that our Treasurer Alberto Alarcon suffered a debilitating stroke earlier that year and records and details for 2020 were challenging to obtain. Furthermore, the requirement for all Form 990s to filed electronically was not fully understood. Notification of this discrepancy did not reach me until mid 2022 - after both the 2020 and 2021 Forms 990 were returned after being hard copy filed. The understanding of how and where to electronically file the Lodge forms took a while to understand. I am requesting consideration to accept this and the 2021 form 990 to follow. RAS
