Explanation:
This was the first year a 990-EZ was required. All other years only the postcard filing was needed. Information was provided to an outside accountant on a timely basis, but the accountant never completed the return. It took more time to retrieve the information from the initial accountant, and then find a different accountant to help prepare this return. These delays caused us to miss the deadline in filing the return. We respectfully request the late filing penalty be waived for this return, and we look forward to timely file the returns in future years.
