What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Ruritan's purpose is to create a better understanding among people and through volunteer community service, make America's communities better places in which to live and work. The slogan of Ruritan is "Fellowship, Goodwill and Community Service." Club membership represents a cross-section of the community in which the club serves, and is not restrictive with regard to occupation, social position, or any other specific criteria.

Explanation:

Our 2021 return was sent via USPS postmarked April 23, 2022 prior to the filing deadline. It was stamped as received by the IRS on May 2, 2022. It was not received back in our care until Feb 10, 2023 with the letter stating that it was incomplete. The letter stated that Part II was not completed but all fields were fill out completely. After speaking with three different people over an hour at the IRS, it was found that we should have submitted via E-file. I am submitting it via E-file on Feb 14, 2023.
