The North Carolina Committee REport for Session Law 2-18-5, Appropriation Act 2018, provides monrecurring special appropriations , namely a legislatively directed amount of $250,000 toward teh establishment of a stand-alone library. The Friends of the Pamlico County Public Library exhausted the grant money in 2022 with the purchase, installation, and test of a new HVAC system at the erstwhile commercial facility in June 2022. Subsequently, NC directed two State Constructiion and Infrastructure (SCIF) grants to the FOL in the amount of $1,833,333 to complete the project. |

The organization stores most of its inventory in an 8x40, climatically controlled, retrofitted, metal shipping container adjacent to the library.
