What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Wafu Ikebana Society philosophy teaches the practitioner "to arrange the flowers that you like--suitably--in a container that you like. This philosophy nurtures each artisan's aesthetic sense while providing the artist with extensive ikebana instruction.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 General Meeting August 14 2022: On 5/17 2022, Fusako Hoyrup demo at Ikebana International Monterey Chapter on Zoom. On, 5/22/2022, Fusako and her 3 students made a big celebratory arrangement for FUHSD. Fusako Hoyrup continues teaching four zoom classes, Mayshine continues one hybrid class, and Connie one evening in-person class at FUHSD.

29 Membership & Promotions: 2023 New Year Party, We had 89 member registered and 61 people attended. Fusako Hoyrup demo her special Japanese New Year arrangements and we gave away 73 donated containers as raffle prizes. At the general meeting provided information about the club's finances, memberships, and accomplishments. we tried to offer Zoom and In-person lesson to our members and also promoted some of our members since they were continually taking zoom or in-person lesson and practice ikebana skills. But, due to the pandemic, our members started returning in year 2022 before our 50 anniversary flower show. During 2023, the Club added 7 new board members.

30 Community Involvement: Our members/board members continue to volunteer for board positions in the International Ikebana San Francisco Chapter (3 positions) and the Ikebana Teachers Federation (2 positions). We also volunteer to make a celebratory arrangement for the retirement event for FUHSD Superintendent, Polly Bove.

2023 Our 50th Anniversary Flower Show - schedule for March 4 & 5, 2023. Our 50th Anniversary( Postpone from 2020) was on March 4-5,2023. There were about 3000 visitors coming to see our show. There were 78 members to participate the show and made 100 arrangements.
