| SCHEDULE O - ADDITIONAL STATEMENTS | Our social club is led by volunteer board members, who organize local lifestyle enrichment, educational and social events, as well ascoordinate 1-day trips and multi-day travel tours for its members age 55 and over. During 2022, gross receipts from non-member sourceswere comprised of the following amounts within the referenced lines of this Form 990-EZ: Part I, Line 1 - Sponsor support for Club events: $8,450. Part I, Line 2 - Registration fees from non-members attending Club events as guests: $2,917. Part I, Line 4 - $12 account interest plus $13,143 investment income totaling $13,155. The Board approved a resolution in December 2022 to segregate the $13,155 investment income and use it exclusively for funding Club community outreach grants in future years to support senior programs offered by local 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and local government (county and city) units.Part I, Line 10 totaling $19,475 was comprised of a $6,000 grant to Project NOW in support of its Senior Nutrition Program serving 693 seniors a month at congregate meal sites and Home Delivered program as well as $13,475 distributed in smaller grants of $2,000 or less to eleven additional local applicant organizations providing food support to those in need, senior citizen riverfront path tours, Body in Motion activities for seniors with Parkinson's disease or other chronic diseases, access to necessary equipment not covered by insurance for easing senior patients transitioning from hospital to home, scheduled recreational, socialization and therapeutic programs, and home emergency access security boxes for vulnerable seniors living alone.Part I, Line 16 Other Expenses of $127,446 is comprised of $98,138 direct expenses incurred for scheduled Club activities; $12,107 for membership communication services, $4,720 for website maintenance, $3,789 for marketing and promotion, $3,389 for insurance premiums, $2,298 for Federal and Iowa income tax payments, and $3,005 miscellaneous indirect expenses.Part I, Line 20 in the amount of - $51,881 represents the unrealized loss in market value of the Club's investment fund account during 2022.Part II, Line 26 End of Year Total Liabilities balance of $19,067 represents the unearned portion of paid member dues for months after 2022. |
