Explanation:

We mailed our 2021 tax return to the IRS timely, on November 15, 2022, following an extension we filed May 15, 2022. On a related note, we previously received a mailed notice indicating 990-EZ is now required to be filed electronically. As that notice addressed only Form 990-EZ, we believed that meant Form 990 could still be filed on paper. Our organization has undergone significant change over the past few years. Significantly, we were in extended discussions with our landlord, Clear Creek County, over whether we would be able to keep the lease on our range (our sole business and purpose for existing). Ultimately we did lose our range which will likely lead to the dissolution of our organization. Those ongoing negotiations have strained our resources and distracted our all-volunteer officers and board members. Due to losing our range in 2023, our pace of business has slowed dramatically. We have checked the club PO box very infrequently. Specifically, we discovered the 2021 return was returned to us, months after it arrived. Thus this replacement electronic filing is occurring late.
