Form 990-EZ, Part IV On May 9, 2023, I signed and mailed certified mail Form 990EZ for my organization to the IRS Regional Service Center at Ogden, UT. I was unable to find an IRS site where I could e-file and did not want to miss the filing deadline. I received the USPS mail certification dated June 9, 2023, that my Form 990EZ had been received by IRS. When I had not heard anything from IRS about the return, I called on August 30 to check the status of the filing and was told that they had no record of receiving the Form 990EZ from me and that the form could only be submitted electronically. I called IRS on September 1 for information and was told to go to IRS.gov/E-file where I finally located Form 990 Online. I later realized that I has used this site last year, but I had no success in locating it again back in May.

Explanation:
On May 9, 2023, I signed and mailed Form 990EZ, which I had prepared for my organization, to the IRS Regional Service Center at Ogden, UT. I had been unable to find a site where I could electronically submit the form and did not want to miss the filing deadline. I sent it certified mail so I would know that it had been received. On June 9, 2023, I received the mail certification that my Form 990EZ had been received. When I had not heard anything from IRS about the return, I called on August 30 to check on the status of the filing and was told that they had no record of receiving the Form 990EZ from me. I was then told that the form could only be submitted electronically. After searching online, I came up with a list of businesses that assist one with e-filing. I checked out Form 990 Online on 15th Street on Washington, DC. Over the past week, I have been trying to submit the Form 990EZ but the program sends repeated error messages. Technical support solved one of the issues but there are 3 additional errors that show up but aparently are not visible to tech support. I have triple-checked all of the numbers, so here goes a hopefully final attempt.
