Explanation:
I signed this electronic form on 3/3/23, but it appears that it was never electronically accepted. I was unaware of this until I received a notice from the IRS yesterday dated 10/9/2023 CP259A. I am horrified that this happened. This is the second time I've filed electronically, so I thought I had it figured out. I see now that the electronic message board indicates that it shows as pending rather than accepted. I don't know if you consider this 'reasonable cause', but I am hopeful that you will waive any late fees, as we are a very small cemetery association with very little in our liquid funds.
