Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Veterans of Foreign Wars is Fraternal, Educational, and Patriotic. We support active and past military personnel and their families while on active duty and after honorable separation from the services. We support local and national organizations promoting veterans programs, educational programs for the youth, and community service activities.

Return originally submitted in paper form on date indicated. Filing was returned in May 2023 stating it needed to be electronic. Attempts had been made to file electronically. However, 2 items precluded this from happening. IRS EO website had conflicting information on the Tax Exempt status of the organization which would not allow filing of the 990 AND the identified dates for the organizational fiscal year were incorrectly loaded in the system. Both items were not corrected until October of 2023.
