I was recently alerted by our group organization (American Federation of Teachers) that a filing for our Local (#2278) 2021 was not on record with the IRS. In a telephone conversation with an IRS representative today, I explained that I had filed Form 990 EZ along with Schedule O on 11/02/22, via mail. I did know that the rules had changed and that I should have e-filed. I did not receive any notification that the filing had been rejected. In the circumstances, I request that no penalties are charged and interest assessed. Many thanks.
