| Other | Part III, Line 28, Program Service Accomplishments BPW/FL had the following accomplishments during the 2023-2023 year: A BPW/FL Resource Manual for state and the local organization (LO) leaders was created. An annual programming calendar for the local organizations was created. A BPW/FL Membership Recruitment & Retention Manual was created. Three LO Leadership Webinars were held. Four webinars were held: one on Equality Day, one on Equal Pay Day (on which we partnered with the Department of Labor's Women's Bureau) and two on women in transition. The BPW/FL Handbook was updated to add an Equity Statement and to reflect current processes. The Executive Committee (EC) voted to allow our investment advisor to reinvest funds in yearly CDs. The annual Audit Report was conducted and accepted by the Board of Directors (BOD). A Request for Proposals (RFP) for strategic consulting services was created and released with the acceptance of the Cambridge Hill Partners (CHP) strategic consulting proposal. The EC approved the use of bank credit cards to replace debit cards. The web services contract with Studio X was renewed. The BOD voted to amend the budget to reinstate the lobbyist line item. Monthly enewsletters plus several news flash emails were sent to members and non-members. Three printed issues of Florida Business Woman were mailed to members. Several surveys were sent to members to collect information for state standing committees regarding potential activities. Posting to the Public Policy News web page of items relevant to the public policy platform occurred periodically. Held an annual conference which included programming focused on raising awareness of how to get the most out of the business sessions and to improve understanding of lobbying, and learning about the Women's Bureau's current priorities and all they have to offer. A half day focused on strategic planning using the work of the strategic consultants. We conducted our annual business of adopting bylaws amendments, a budget, and a public policy platform and electing officers as well as awarding LOs for excellence. |
