In the CAREtoTALK webinar, participants learned about the process and timeline for the BHCIP and CCE program joint RFA application. they also received detailed information about the due date for submissions regarding the BHCIP launch ready and CCE program. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: On April 19, 2022, 6Beds held their 8th Year Advocacy Day to protect and preserve residential care for individuals with special needs and disabilities session and several topics were discussed. These included the AB 2619 Capacity Extension and the importance of providing a letter of support for RCFE providers. Attendees also received updates on the ARF & RCFE Community Care Expansion (CCE) from the acting branch manager of the Housing and Homelessness Branch (HHB). Additionally, information was shared regarding funding for ARF/RCFE that serve SSI/SSP contracts with local counties. key speakers provided relevant news and updates to the participants. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: On May 18, 2022, Chris Jalian, an associate in the employment law practice of Paul Hastings, shared key information on how to avoid facing a labor commissioner by following the labor code's guidelines. In the CAREtoTALK webinar series, participants also learned about the wage and hour implications related to providing employees with advances or loans, as well as the lawful process of recouping those advances as an employer.
