What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO HOME EDUCATORS WHO ARE MEMBERS IN COWETA COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS BY PLANNING SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND FIELD TRIPS FOR THE STUDENTS. NEW AND CURRENT HOME EDUCATORS ARE ALSO ABLE TO GET INFORMATION ON TOPICS SUCH AS TEACHING RESOURCES AND CURRICULA THROUGH SMALL GROUPS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROMOTES BETTER COMMUNICATION THROUGH NEWSLETTERS, SPECIAL MAILINGS AND PHONE MESSAGES. CLASSES PROVIDED AT UNITY BAPTIST CHURCH INCLUDE HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SUBJECTS TAUGHT BY ACCREDITED TUTORS AND A CO-OP OF PARENT VOLUNTEERS TEACHING ELECTIVES FOR MIDDLE/ELEMENTARY STUDENTS.

CLASSES PROVIDED AT UNITY BAPTIST CHURCH INCLUDE HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SUBJECTS TAUGHT BY ACCREDITED TUTORS AND A CO-OP OF PARENT VOLUNTEERS TEACHING ELECTIVES FOR MIDDLE/ELEMENTARY STUDENTS.
FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 28 MEMBERS MAY REQUEST AND SIGN UP FOR ACCREDITED TUTORS IN SPECIALTY CLASSES WHICH ARE HELD ONCE A WEEK ALL DAY FOR MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE ORGANIZATION EMPLOYS TUTORS WHO SET THE PRICE FOR THEIR SERVICES AND BOOKS, ETC. AND THE PARTICIPATING FAMILIES PAY THE COSTS. THERE ARE TWO PROGRAMS: ELUMINATUS AND BRIDGE. ELUMINATUS IS A COLLEGE PREPATORY, NON-TRADITIONAL EDUCATION CENTER FOR HIGH SCHOOL. BRIDGE WAS CREATED TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN 4TH-8TH GRADES AND HIGH SCHOOL.

FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 30 ENCHEA OFFERS TWO ENRICHMENT CO-OP PROGRAMS LED BY PARENT VOLUNTEERS CALLED EXPLORERS AND VOYAGERS. THESE PROGRAMS PROVIDE ELECTIVES AND SOCIAL OUTLETS FOR HOMESCHOOLED CHILDREN. EXPLORERS CONSISTS OF MULTIPLE SIX-WEEK TERMS EACH OF WHICH INVOLVES EXPLORING A NEW, MEMBER-SELECTED TOPIC THROUGH CREATIVE LEARNING STYLES. VOYAGERS IS GEARED TOWARDS ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN AND PROVIDES THEM WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO TRY ACTIVITIES THEY WOULD NOT TYPICALLY BE EXPOSED TO AT HOME. PARENT VOLUNTEERS ARE REIMBURSED FOR BOOKS AND SUPPLIES BY THE PARTICIPATING FAMILIES. ARCHERY IS ALSO OFFERED WITH CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS.
FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 31 ROUNDUP, HELD IN THE FALL, IS THE TIME FOR REGISTRATION. INFO IS PROVIDED TO HOMESCHOOL FAMILIES ON HOW TO GET STARTED AND WHAT IS OFFERED BY THE ASSOCIATION. FAMILIES MEET IN SMALL GROUPS FOR SOCIAL AND/OR STRUCTURED TIME, WHICH HELPS WITH COMMUNICATION THROUGHOUT THE ASSOCIATION AND NEW HOMESCHOOL CONTACTS CAN RECEIVE HELP IN CHOOSING CURRICULUM AND TEACHING RESOURCES.
