Explanation:

American Legion Post 330 provided all Tax documents to Loretta Jenkins, New Market Associates, EIN 20-3405330 in February 2022 for Tax Year 2021. Loretta filed an extension at that time. As November approached, Post 330 Finance Officer asked if the Taxes were filed yet and she kept telling us not to worry, the IRS is not penalizing late filings because of COVID. Loretta finally filed the 990 on 06/19/2023 in paper form. We received a notice from the IRS that it needed to be filed electronically so we asked Loretta to file the 990 electronically. She said she didn't have the capability, but she would try. Loretta never filed the form electronically, but she did charge Post 330 for filing the return. I, Dean Strong, as Finance Officer, am submitting the 990 electronically so that it is filed. I am using the numbers and entries provided by New Market Associates, EIN 20-3405330.
