I.B.E.W. Local 387 and Subsidiary are not-for-profit associations and are exempt from income taxes under current Internal Revenue Code Sec. 501(c)(5) and related IRS Regulations. Tax years 2019 2021 remain subject to examination for federal income tax purposes and tax years 2018 2021 remain subject to examination for state income taxes. I.B.E.W. Local 387 and Subsidiary uses a loss contingency approach for evaluating uncertain tax positions. I.B.E.W. Local 387 and Subsidiary continually evaluates expiring statutes of limitations, audits, changes in tax laws and new authoritative rulings.
