What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? IBCFPRS provides a mechanism for recognizing the qualifications of international candidate surgeons, after measuring them against certain rigorous standards in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 IBCFPRS has two program services, the largest of which is the certification of international surgeons in facial plastic surgery. IBCFPRS expense and reimbursements of $9,535 were used to support this program in 2022. Certification is a two-part process. Candidate surgeons submit operative experience, licensing, and credentials for peer review. They also sit for an must pass a two-day written and oral examination. They examination is given in collaboration with the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS), a 501(c)(6) non-profit which provides the certification in North America in the area of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. In 2022, 15 surgeons met the standards set by the IBCFPRS and were certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, bringing the total number of IBCFPRS diplomates to 178.

In 2022 Twenty (20) diplomates ordered certificates, for a total payment of $3,750. Printing and postage expenses including the payments to print and mail this certificate, along with postage for materials sent to Board members - the total of which was $1,815

Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 LINE 16: Other expenses cover bank service fees, merchant account fees, website maintenance and legal fees.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 20 LINE 20: Due to COVID-19, the 2020 European exams were postponed to the Fall of 2021. Exam fees for this exam were paid by the EBCFPRS in Jan. 2022. IBCFPRS reimbursed the ABFPRS for this exam in Feb. 2022. The 2022 exam took place on schedule in July of 2022. Exam fees were paid by the EBCFPRS in Dec. of 2022 and the IBCFPRS reimbursed the ABFPRS that same month. There were 3 reimbursements of exam fees to candidates from Hong Kong who were unable to attend the 2022 exam due to their country's COVID restrictions still in place.
