What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Idaho Horse Council is a state member of the American Horse Council. The Idaho Horse Council is considered a model horse council that has etablished an enviable track record.Accomplishments include a State Horse Census completed periodically in cooperation with an Idaho University.The Counil has been successful in creating an Idaho Horse Board whose purpose is to award grants to various groups and individuals for the purpose of furthering healthy Equine endeavors.

28 Our purpose is to promote every type of horse activity in Idaho, to be its official voice, to monitor legislation affecting horse activities, and to act as an information resource for horse owners and regulating bodies.The IHC also acts to correlate the many horse related restrictions and regulations declared by Federal and State agencies.
