	The NIHC held its annual business summit, a remarkable event bringing together the hemp industry's leading business, legal, and regulatory figures for pivotal discussions about developments in the world of hemp. The summit provides educational and networking opportunities for those currently in or soon to be entering the industrial hemp industry.

	During 2022 the NIHCOA continued work under a Market Access Program (MAP) under a federal grant from the USDA, the aim of which was to develop market access into Europe and Asia. The MAP grant period was through 31 Dec 2022 and allowed reimbursements of qualified expense.

Form 990, Part III, Line 2	During 2022, the NOHCOA began two new programs funded by grants from the Foreign Agricultural Service of the United States Department of Agriculture. Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops number 5 (TASC-05), is to establish a database of all regulatory requirements for the importation of industrial hemp into Europe. Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops number 6 (TASC-06) is to conduct life cycle inventories and life cycle assessments to establish a comparative index that will showcase industrial hemp's sustainability credentials, integrate into indexing organizations' life cycle inventories, and encourage brands and retailers to positively consider industrial hemp fiber products.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6	The organization has members, who generally would elect the governing body. As the NIHC is still in its infancy, the governing body has been frozen through another 3-year term. Although the members receive the benefits of the organization's programs, they do not receive any distributions of profits.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	Detailed review of the 990 is delegated to the Board's audit committee.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15	Compensation of the CEO was determined and approved by the Executive Committee of the Board. Independent data was received from outside organizations and was used for comparative purposes. There was no compensation paid or accrued during 2022.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19	To date, the organization has not made its governing documents and policies available to the public. As of the date of this filing, the governing documents were under revision to add necessary clarifications and updates, and the policies will be revised based upon the revisions of the governing documents.
