Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Mission of the VFW is Fraternal, Patriotic, Historical, Charitable, and Educational. This includes preserving and strengthening comradeship among its members; assisting worthy comrades by providing food, shelter, and clothing when necessary; perpetuating the memory and history of our dead and assisting their widows/widowers and orphans; maintain true allegiance to the United States of American and fidelity to its constitutions and laws, fostering true patriotism thru history and flag education; maintaining and extending the institution of the American Freedom; and preserving and defending the United States of America from all her enemies.

	Post and Auxiliaries- The VFW Department of Oregon, supported 80 posts and strengthen comradeship among its 14,636 statewide members. We also have a on-line newsletter which is issued six times a year.

	Assistance to Veterans- The VFW, Department of Oregon operated a "Service Office" to provide assistance to Veterans in filling just claims for disabilities incurred as a result of military service while defending the United States. The VFW, Department of Oregon received free use of office space, valued at 25,000 from the Veterans Administration Volunteers worked through the "Veterans Administration Volunteer Service" program to assist worthy hospitalized and their dependents in providing assistance and comfort items as required to make their stay at hospital as stress free as possible. Twenty Volunteers served in three cities: Portland, Roseburg and White City at least 3500 Veterans Benefited

	Youth Awards- 14 "Voice of Democracy" awards ranging from 250-1700 were given to high school students in the annual audio contest. the contes them was "Is this the country the founders Envisioned?" the first-place winner also received a trip to the freedom foundation at valley forge. 14- Patriot pen awards ranging from 200-1000 were given to students in grades six thru eighth in the annual essay contest the contest theme was "What is Patriotism to me?"

had a hard time finding where to file the 990 electronically that wasn't a scam. I did try to call the IRS and checked the website but, with covid you all were shorthanded like the rest of the country and i didn't find the help I needed. we also got very busy with suspensions and disciplinary issues I just didn't get back to it. I finally found someone that does the 990 and was able to give me this link so will give this a try and hopefully I will be able to catch up.
