The hospital uses annual compensation survey by SIHHRA/CISSHRA (Southern and Central IL Human Resource Association) to assist in setting minimum pay rates for each grade. Market wage adjustments are performed when necessary and merit adjustments are done annually according to policies and procedures. The President/CEO's salary is established by the Personnel Committee based on market wages and an annual merit evaluation (also performed by the Committee).

Salem Township Hospital received a notice on April 24,2023 #CP120C to file 990 by 5/15/2023 to maintain tax-exempt status. Salem Township Hospital filed the paper copy which was returned with a letter LTR2694C dated 5/26/2023 stating that forms dating after 12/21/2020 need to be filed electronically. The letter further included that to avoid penalties, 990 return must be filed within 10 days of the letter. Salem Township Hospital received the letter on 6/5/2023. N. Sullivan called IRS customer account services at 877-829-5500 to request an extension. IRS customer service representative stated that extension could not be granted via the phone and advised to explain the situation under cause for late filing entry.
