WE ALSO INSTALLED PORTABLE AIR FILTERS FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY IN EACH CLASSROOM, ENSURING A COMFORTABLE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR THE OVER 1,500 STUDENTS THAT ATTENDED IN-PERSON CLASSES. |

IN NOVEMBER 2021, WE REOPENED THE SPACE WITH A PREVIEW EXHIBITION (HISTORIC FUTURES), CURATED BY JUANA WILLIAMS. THE AWARD-WINNING ART IN PUBLIC PROGRAM (AIP) BELIEVES THAT THE EXPERIENCE OF ART SHOULD BE ACCESSIBLE AND EQUITABLE TO EVERYONE. IN THIS PROGRAM, WE COLLABORATE WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, BUSINESSES, AND INDIVIDUALS TO BRING HIGH-QUALITY ART INTO PUBLIC SPACES, ELEVATING ANN ARBOR AS A DESTINATION FOR CREATIVES AND ART LOVERS. SINCE 2020, THE COMMITTEE HAS INSTALLED 14 MURALS, ONE SCULPTURE, AND THREE IMMERSIVE ALLEYWAY INSTALLATIONS. A2AC ALLEYS ATTRACTED TOP TALENT FROM AROUND THE WORLD, RECEIVING 92 SUBMISSIONS. FOCUSING ON AND SUPPORTING ARTISTS ALSO REPRESENTS A KEY COMPONENT OF A2AC'S COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MISSION. THROUGH OUR ART IN PUBLIC PROGRAM, WE HAVE PAID 16 INDEPENDENT ARTISTS OVER 190,000 FOR THEIR WORK IN THE LAST TWO YEARS. |
