What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? CCSPA is a nonprofit organization with a 3-fold mission of advocacy, education, and collaboration. CCSPA is a group that advocates for licensed mental health clinicians providing services to collegiate student-athletes by keeping interested agencies and administrators informed regarding best practices and standards of care. Our group seeks to be the voice for these providers, educating administrators, invested organizations, and others about the unique nature of this subspecialty of the field of psychology and best practices for provision of mental health performance services. We also aim to provide continuing education to members in order to maintain a standard of excellence within our field. CCSPA provides an avenue for networking and collaboration among members.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Through the organization, we provided webinar trainings online as part of the membership benefit, ongoing consultation and support from colleagues in the field through our listserv, and our annual conference in Jan 2022 for ongoing education, consultation, and advocacy for our profession.

Return Reference Explanation
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 8 For the 2022-2023 fiscal year for our organization, we generated $58,647.25 from conference registration fees for our annual conference, called the CCSPA Big Sky Sport Psychology Conference. We had $18,894.81 provided to our organization as sponsorship through five organizations supporting our efforts. Conference related expenses for the year included payment to the conference site, deposit for the 2024 conference location, A/V support, supplies (e.g., print out of slides, lanyards and name tags, speaker gifts), food from the hotel, and physical space rental. The total expenses related activities came to $67,519.29. Outside of the conference, the organization as a whole had a yearly operating cost of $4,576.16 which included for services such as listserv memberships, website support for collecting membership fees, Zoom monthly memberships for our webinars, SurveyMonkey, annual fee for accreditation through the American Psychological Association, and website support fees when collecting conference registration fees. There is a next balance of $9,518.45 in the organization account. This excess will be put towards the 2024 conference which is being held in a new location and therefore more costly conference hosting expenses.
