Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Association was established in 1928 to promote the business interests of wholesalers primarily engaged in the distribution of plumbing, heating and cooling equipment and supplies, water systems, and pipes, valves and fittings. Additional efforts target the promotion of industrial peace by encouraging sound labor practices, advising members pertinante to their business, and aiding in the development of high operational standards in the industry in conformance with existing law. The Association collects and compiles statistical data and distributes that data to its members to aid them in maintaining efficient and competitive operations.

	Southern Wholesalers Association, Inc. promoted industrial peace by encouraging sound labor relations. It advised its members concerning matters pertinent to their businesses. It aided in the development of high standards of operation within the industry in conformance with existing laws. It collected, compiled, and distributed statistical data in the interest of efficient and competitive operations. It exerted its best efforts toward the development of more efficient and economical distribution to the end that better products were purchased by the ultimate consumer at lower costs. It developed and promoted publicity programs that educated all concerned regarding the actual values added by distribution to an efficient and competitive economy.
