Line 28-Statement of Program Service Accomplishments-Music Portland ConneX-Established a Black-led music brokerage to match musical artists and bands of color with non-venue, paid performance opportunities at community events, street fairs and business district celebrations. Received and distributed $10,000 grant from the city of Portland to subsidize musician pay at these events.Industry Events and Professional Development Series-Music Portland convened all-industry monthly gatherings and multiple gatherings of the Black, Latinx, Indigenous, LGTQIA+, and Disabled music communities.
