What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? ASSIST THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY IN DISTINGUISHING HAWAII ISLAND AS A SUSTAINABLE, DIVERSIFIED, AND GLOBAL TRAVEL DESTINATION.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 "ShopBigIsland.com" continues to support Hawaii Island Businesses during the slow economic recovery and lack of employees needed to sustain economic growth. HIVB began a project, underwritten by the County of Hawaii, designed to stimulate Hawaii Island's economy by creating a website which provides current information on various businesses and services located on the Island. The website provides mobile and web-based access to all businesses at no cost. Registration is free. Businesses can provide their information directly on the website with the option of providing a direct link to their individual websites. The website has expanded to provide local businesses the option of listing job opportunities throughout the Island, and has continued its support and promotion of Hawaii Island's Pono Pledge and Aloha Spoken Here campaigns.
