Regular Membership- open to persons 18 years and older who are US residents, in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who have been an Associate Member for ayear or more. Entitled to all rights and privileges including voting privileges and holding club office.B. Assocate Membership- open to persons 18 years or older who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club. May apply for regular membership after one year or more. Entitled to all privileges of the Club except they may not vote, hold office, or be counted in a quorum.C. Junior Membership- open to childred between 9 and 17 years of age who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club. They are not permitted to vote, hold office or be counted in a quorum. Junior members may convert to associate membership at age 18.D. Club membership- open to regional Cavalier King Charles Spaniel clubs in the US and who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club. They do not have a vote. Each club requesting membership agrees to be governed by all the applicable aricles of the bylaws and code of ethics of the ACKCSC.E. Honorary Membership- May be conferred in special circumstances to an individual or individuals having shown meritorious service to the Club. Title is conferred by 2/3rd vote of the Board of Directors at a regular board meeting. Honorary members do not pay dues, vote or hold office, but can maintain regular membership by paying dues.F. Foreign Membership- for Individuals who are not US Citizens. They are entitiled to all club privilegs except voting and holding office. Individuals residing outside the US, its territories and possessions may apply and be admitted as Associate Members and are eligible only as Associate Members so long as they reside outside the US. |
| Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a | All applicants must be sponsored by two regular members, not from the same household or from the household of the applicant. A club seeking membership shall file its application with the Corresponding Secretary or other person designated to receive such applications. Application must include copy of bylaws and names and addresses of officers, Board of Directors and members. Must have 20 members in good standing, meet at least 4 times a year and must hold one or more Sanctioned Matches or AKC licensed specialty shows annually. |
