Part X : FIN48 Footnote The Organization is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501 (c) (4) of the Internal Revenue Code and is exempt from California franchise taxes under Section 23701f of the Revenue and Taxation Code. It is the opinion of management that all income earned has been related to the Organization's tax-exempt status and there has been no unrelated business income. The accounting standard requires that a tax position be recognized or derecognized based on a "more-likely-than-not" threshold. Based on the management's analysis of the Foundation's tax positions, the accounting for any uncertainty in the Organization's tax positions is not expected to have a material impact on the financial statements.

The updated draft is then reviewed by the Organization's attorney and Board of Directors. The draft of Form 990 is approved by the Board of Directors before filing.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The Board of Directors and President discuss any conflicts of interest (if any) during board meetings. The Board of Directors and President sign a conflict of interest statement on an annual basis. The President monitors transactions for any potential conflicts of interest during the year.
