WE FUNDED TWO TRANSLATION GRANTS, WHICH SUPPORT THE TRANSLATION OF PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED WORKS IN ECOCRITICISM WITH THE GOAL OF EXPANDING ACCESS TO CRUCIAL SCHOLARSHIP AND LITERATURE ACROSS CULTURES AND CONTINENTS. WE ALSO FUNDED THREE SUBVENTION GRANTS TO SUPPORT INNOVATIVE PROJECTS IN ECOCRITICISM AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL HUMANITIES. ASLE ALSO ISSUED THREE IN-KIND INTERNATIONAL MEMBERSHIP GRANTS, WHICH PROVIDE TWO YEARS OF ASLE MEMBERSHIP TO SCHOLARS OUTSIDE NORTH AMERICA WITHOUT ACCESS TO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDING. BOOK AWARDS THE 2022 ASLE BOOK AWARDS WERE PRESENTED IN TWO CATEGORIES: THE BEST BOOK- LENGTH WORK OF SCHOLARLY ECOCRITICISM, AND THE BEST BOOK-LENGTH WORK OF CREATIVE WRITING (ANY GENRE) WITH AN ENVIRONMENTAL THEME.
