What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? PSARA is a grassroots organization whose purpose is to educate retirees, those approaching retirement age, their families and community about issues important to retirees and how to use their democratic rights to achieve justice, equal rights and dignity for retired workers, their families and all Americans. PSARA's education programs include preservation of pensions, long term care, affordable health care, access to affordable housing, transportation and other services.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Supported Traditional Medicare opposing Direct Contracting - renamed ACO Reach. Hosted three major webinars and other events with presentations by national leaders. Supported many community and labor organizations in passing supporting resolutions including WA State Labor Council. Sponsored letters to the Biden Administration & Congressional Representatives signed onto by 92 organizations and 823 individuals. Ran advertisements in local & regional news outlets in support of a campaign for individuals to call the White House and Congressional Representatives in support of Traditional Medicare.
