What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The organization's primary exempt purpose is to advance the quality of health delivery to citizens of the Central Coast and promote the profession of licensed NP/PA providers of the Central Coast.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Service Accomplishment: Organization Website - Expense: $299.76. This organization maintains an updated professional website where advanced practice providers, NP students, and PA students can obtain more information regarding current policies, community needs, and continuing medical education. No members or board members are financially (or otherwise) compensated for this service. ***** Due to this being the second year of COVID-19, our organization remained inactive. We did not receive any revenue via membership dues. Since we were inactive, we were unable to carry out many of our previous program services including awarding scholarships and participating in the community health fair. As our organization name suggests, we are nurse practitioners and physician assistants who were on the front lines of treating the community infected by COVID-19.

To Whom It May Concern: Our nonprofit group, Advanced Practice Nurses and Physician Assistants of the Central Coast, unfortunately failed to file the income tax forms for 2019, 2020, and 2021. We submitted the 2019 and 2020 990-EZ returns on paper format and sent it via USPS certified mail on 12/5/2022. Our President, Tina Loayza, submitted those tax filings. Our Treasurer & Membership Coordinator, Lisa Deng, will be resubmitting the amended 2020 and 2021 tax returns Form 990-EZ electronically and the amended 2019 one via paper format and mailed via certified mail. We need to amend it because we inadvertently did not select the box for "Application pending" for our Form 1024-A which we will be submitting electronically today as well, January 29, 2023. All other details are the same. As healthcare providers, once the COVID pandemic struck, we were all busy working under constantly stressful conditions and all other concerns and responsibilities faded into the background. We were all active on the frontlines working through this pandemic. Our group did not meet in 2020 or 2021 due to this pandemic and Department of Public Health regulations which prohibited group gatherings. As such, our group responsibilities were temporarily set aside; therefore, our forms are late. The dues that we collected in previous years are used mainly to provide free health services in our community and scholarships to nurse practitioner and physician assistant students with the funds we have available.
