What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? We are a local chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA). This Los Angeles-Anaheim chapter was formed in 1958 to help establish professional standards in the press boxes of major league baseball teams. We give scholarships and have helped members through hardships (deaths, etc.) with donations through the dues of our members.
