What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The primary purpose of the Orr Ditch and Extensions Water Company is to raise revenue via member assessments to provide funds to maintain the Orr Ditch for transportation of irrigation water to its members. All expenditures made are not the purpose and include employment of a ditch rider, who regularly inspects the ditch. The ditch rider requires the use of a pickup truck to travel from location to location along the ditch.
