What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Soaring Club. Approximately 100 members. Provide environment (equipment, organization) to members who wish to participate in the sport of soaring.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Skyline Soaring is a member oriented club with the mission of providing the resources and training to support the sport of soaring aviation. Skyline has approximately 100 members of which 30 are students and the remainder being certificated glider pilots. We have a cadre of instructor rated pilots who provide training on a weekly basis to student members. One of our instructors earned the Wright Brothers Master Pilot award, signifying fifty years of safe flying and providing value to the sport of aviation. Four students achieved their first solo flights in 2022 and six earned their Private Pilot Certificates. Two members achieved their Commercial Pilot rating in 2022. Skyline had 76 days of operation in 2022, providing 1333 flights of which 727 were instructional. The club also provided our Week of Training to further advance the educational activities of our student pilots.
