Outreach by our members includes volunteering at monthly sessions where patients and their siblings of all ages are invited to partake in games, crafts, creative projects and snack on food items that help in the childs nutrition and education. Members also assist with the annual Mothers Day Tea and participate in an annual holiday adopt-a-family. The Organization also supports the Just for Girls program by providing wigs and accessories for girls/teens undergoing cancer treatment. Through these programs with CCN, we are able to assist over 720 individuals impacted by the diagnosis of childhood cancer this year. 11 volunteers provice 160 hours of service for this program. |

Infant car seats are provided that can be used on buses and other forms of public transportation. This program also provides education for the mothers on the proper use of car seats as well as safety to the babies while allowing their mothers the freedom to ride the bus knowing their child is appropriately protected. In addition, EVWL hosts an annual Halloween Carnival, to provide a safe place of holiday festivities, 60 children and 37 parents attended. This year, 93 car seats and 25 strollers were provided to women in need. 26 volunteers provided 170 hours of servcie for this program. |
| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d | Program Service Expenses 5,451, Grants and allocations 0, Revenue 0 Homebound Women partners with the Tempe Community Action Agency and the Chandler Gilbert Community Center to deliver good cheer, fresh flowers and holiday baskets twice a year to nearly one hundred homebound women in our community who receive home meal deliveries. During 2022, 160 deliveries were made. Since inception, over one thousand baskets of needed household items and fresh flowers have been delivered on these home visits which support the womens emotional needs by knowing someone cares. 17 volunteers provided 185 hours of service for this program. |
| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d | Program Service Expenses 8,000, Grants and allocations 0, Revenue 0 Chemo Companions provides support to individuals dealing with a cancer diagnosis, partnering with oncology offices in Phoenix, Tempe, and Chandler. Every Friday our Chemo Companion volunteers visit with people undergoing chemotherapy. Approximately 200 patients had visits this past year. In addition, the Organization provided 400 new start bags filled with blankets, fuzzy socks, hand sanitizer, lotion, snack bars and activities to help pass the time during treatment. Additional support was provided this year by adopting a cancer patients family for the holidays and stocking pantries with nonperishable food items and grocery and gas gift cards to provide assistance to the patients. Nearly 7,500 chemotherapy patients have been comforted over the years. 8 volunteers provided volunteer hours for this program, impacting over 700 patients and their families this year. |
| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d | Program Service Expenses 8,690, Grants and allocations 0, Revenue 0 Supporting Teens in Parenting STIP partners with the TAPP program at Marcos de Niza High School to support pregnant and parenting teens in the District to stay in school, prevent repeated pregnancy, implement effective prenatal and parenting behaviors, and graduate from high school. Since inception, over 700 pregnant and parenting high school students and their families have received support and encouragement to graduate. We gather twice a year to celebrate the students continued academic achievements, provide attendance incentives and other supplies as needed to encourage them to stay in school, and adopt several families during the holidays to provide food and other necessities along with some holiday cheer. This year our volunteers also established a lending library at the school to provide access to age appropriate books and hosted a literacy challenge to encourage the young moms and dads to read to their kids at home. In addition, each year we award a technology scholarship to a graduating senior who is planning to to continue her education after high school. 14 volunteers |

The goal of this project is to provide full size toiletries to the 2,000 teenagers who spend the night at one of the Department of Child Safety after hours facilities because they do not have a home of their own. This past year, KIT provided 600 drawstring backpacks of hygiene products and various clothing items, including socks, underwear and assorted pairs of pajamas, and donated wish lists items, including games and craft supplies for use by children while at the intake centers. These supplies were distributed to various DCS facilities throughout the state. Since inception, the Organization has provided over 3,600 drawstring bags of toiletries for these youths. 13 volunteers provided 94 hours of service to this program. |
