	AFOS provides two national meetings each year for our member doctors. These national meetings provide essential continuing education that is required for military or federal service optometrists. In addition these meetings provide a forum for key exhibitors to display the latest ophthalmic technology to our members. This enables each member to have exposure to the leading edge instrumentation which will assist their unit command in selecting the appropriate equipment to deliver the best eye care for military personnel and military veterans across the nation.

Part VI, Line 6	AFOS is made up of optometrist members who are active in the uniformed services or retired from the uniformed services students of optometry on PHS scholarship and optometrists who are employed either part or full-time by an entity of the federal government as well as an individual who has significantly contrinuted to the profession as it relates to the uniformed services.
Part VI, Line 7a	The organization's active members elect board members and officers.
Part VI, Line 11b	The organization's tax return is prepared by the staff and provided to the executive director and governing bodies for review. The executive director then reviews and files the return.
Part VI, Line 12c	Each year all elected and appointed AFOS members of the executive council committee volunteers and staff complete a conflict of interest disclosure form. The conflict of interest document is made available on the AFOS website.
