	After the 2020 election cycle and 2021 runoff, Georgia saw an uptick of voters from a number of constituencies, particularly constituencies of color and newly engaged voters. As we were preparing for the 2022 midterm election cycle, we were curious to know the motivating factors, opinions, and attitude that attributed to the turnout of those constituencies from the 2020 election cycle. To do this, we began a polling project to gain quantitative and qualitative insights. We identified six key constituencies we wanted to learn more from: Black men, Black women, young adults, Latinx, AAPI and newly engaged voters and started with a series of focus groups to better understand the temperature and priorities of traditional midterm drop-off voters, their interest in elections at all levels of the ballot, and explore the complex factors that go into their motivation to vote.

	Progress Georgia offered voter education in a variety of forms. Whether it was the creation of our voter guide that housed all pertinent information on candidates and their stances on the issues in one website, or creating digital content to inform the electorate on key voting dates, what positions are on the ballot and why they matter, voter education was a top priority for the organization.

	Progress Georgia supported the coalition efforts of partners who were advocating for fair redistricting during the 2021 special redistricting session in Georgias state legislature. This work included, but is not limited to, organizing town hall meetings, connecting with community members on upcoming events, drafting and uplifting helpful talking points and media work to support amplification, research on newly drawn legislative districts, and developing graphics for public dissemination.
