This return is late owing to difficulties the Pool faced during COVID, including a large number of refund requests, followed by our credit card processor withholding a significant amount of funds, totaling over 10 percent of our revenue for 2019. Those funds were released to us in 2020. Our long-time Treasurer (and tax preparer) left after tax year 2019, just as we switched to a new financial software solution. In Tax Year 2020, our new Treasurer faced significant challenges in maintaining the books under the new system, and she left the Board after that year. Our current Treasurer has painstakingly reconstructed the books for Tax Year 2020, and we are back on track. We would ask consideration for a first time abatement and relief from any late filing penalties owing to our strong record of timely filings as a non-profit organization. Tax Year 2021 returns are being filed with or immediately after these returns.
