What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To foster comradeship among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, their families, active duty military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans. To promote patriotism, honor military service, ensure the care of veterans, their families.

28 Veterans of Foreign Wars National Home for Children annual Christmas party. VFW District 8 puts on an annual Christmas party for the 84 children that are housed at the VFW National Home for Children. Santa delivers gifts to all the children at the 42 homes at the VFW National Home for Children.
