| Part III response or note to any other line in Part III | Part III accomplishments Line 28:Rincon Rotary Club is a service organization. The club does monthly service activities that may include clean-up days at local churches, help in setting up major rummage sale at a local church, painting dugouts at local schools, or providing food or recreation activities to local residential homes. We also have a larger ongoing project of providing $600 mini-grants to helps educators in the Tucson area by providing items and services to be used in learning. It is important to note that though the club provides manpower and the vision for these projects, the clubs foundation is the funding source for any costs related to this work. The club has provided assistance in 20 grants to local schools with the Rotary local program. The Dictionary Project distributed over 1400 dictionaries to 3rd graders in over 56 classrooms and 28 schools. Our club provided monetary assistance to Rotary International Foundation/Polio Plus in the effort to eradicate polio worldwide. The funding source is at the Rincon Rotary Foundation level [501C3] not the club. The club member also provides money with matching amount [from the Rotary Club Foundation] for the Rotary Assist program to help local civic organizations in community support for education, clothing and the elderly. |
