MORE THAN 3,500 STUDENTS VISITED THE MUSEUM, DOUBLE THAT OF THE PREVIOUS YEAR. 92 NON-SCHOOL GROUP TOURS VISITED THE MUSEUM, ALSO DOUBLE THAT OF THE PREVIOUS YEAR. OVER 550 INDIVIDUALS UTILIZED FREE ADMISSION UNDER THE MUSEUMS FOR ALL PROGRAM. OVER 1,300 VISITED ON FREE DAYS, WITH 760 ON MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY, AND 611 ON PRESIDENTS DAY. 193 VISITORS FOR SMITHSONIAN MAGAZINES MUSEUM DAY. 103 MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE ADMITTED FREE AS PART OF THE BLUE STAR MUSEUMS PROGRAM. PARTNERSHIPS: THE MUSEUM CONTINUES TO STRENGTHEN OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH THE STUDEBAKER NATIONAL MUSEUM, LAUNCHING JOINT EFFORTS SUCH AS THE SOUTH BEND 2023 POSTER COMPETITION, COLLABORATING ON EXHIBIT THEMES, AND PROMOTING JOINT EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS FOR GROUP TOURS. THE CONCOURS DELEGANCE AT COPSHAHOLM REMAINS ONE OF THE AREAS PREMIERE EVENTS, WITH 1,681 ATTENDEES IN 2022. DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION INITIATIVES: WITH THE HELP OF A DIVERSE GROUP OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS, THE JUNETEENTH LUNCHEON WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL, WITH AN ESTIMATED 212ATTENDEES. THE AFRICAN AMERICAN LEGACY AWARD WAS GIVEN TO VERGEBROTHER SAGE GILLAM, WITH WNDUS JOSHUA SHORT AS EMCEE. THE WORKERS HOME TRANSFORMATION INITIATIVE CONTINUES TO ATTRACT INVOLVEMENTAND EXCITEMENT FROM THE COMMUNITY AND IS ON TRACK TO OPEN IN EARLY NOVEMBER. PROGRAMMING: 29 PUBLIC PROGRAMS SAW 2,777 GUESTS. THESE INCLUDE: COPSHAHOLM 125, ART COMPETITION, MOONLIGHT & MERLOT AT THE MANSION, MYSTERY AT THE MANSION, WHICH SAW OVER 600, GUESTS. MUSIC IN THE GARDENS: EXPANDED TO 2 SEPARATE EVENTS, TAKING PLACE JULY 28 AND AUGUST 25. EDUCATION: THE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT LAUNCHED A NEW SCHOOL INITIATIVE FOR THE 2022/23 YEAR. INCLUDED IN THIS WERE: FACE TO FACE MEETINGS WITH TEACHERS,PRINCIPALS, AND STAFF AT 31 SCHOOLS IN ALL COUNTY SYSTEMS AS WELL AS PAROCHIAL SCHOOLS GALLERY TALKS FOR TEACHERS SUPPLEMENTS THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE, PROVIDING INTERACTION AND FEEDBACK TO BEST MEET THEIR NEEDS. NEW CURRICULUM-BASED PROGRAM OFFERINGS INCLUDE: THE FIGHT FOR JUSTICE: THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD AND THE FUGITIVE SLAVE CASE FIRST IN THEIR FIELD: THE STORY OF THE ALL-AMERICAN GIRLS PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL LEAGUE FOSSILS, FOSSILS, FOSSILS, WHICH HEAVILY UTILIZES THE HANNAH LINDAHL COLLECTION AND WAS OUR MOST POPULAR NEW PROGRAM, WITH OVER 760 PARTICIPATING STUDENTS CURATORIAL: ALL ITEMS RELATED TO SCHUYLER COLFAX ARE NOW DIGITIZED AND AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC ONLINE. THE DIGITAL COLLECTION HAS SEEN MORE THAN 600 SEARCHES IN 3 MONTHS. OTHER LARGE COLLECTIONS CAN CONTINUE TO BE UPLOADED, AS WELL AS NEW ACQUISITIONS. THE SOUTH BEND TRIBUNES LIBRARY WAS ACQUIRED AND MOVED TO STORAGE, COVERING 100 YEARS OF HISTORY OF THE REGION AND OF THE NEWSPAPER. CONSERVED PAINTING OF LEOPOLD POKAGON, TO BE LOANED FOR EXHIBIT AT THE BROOKLYN HISTORICAL SOCIETY. ACQUIRED A LARGE COLLECTION OF HISTORIC CLOTHING FROM VERGIE BLUM OF INDIANAPOLIS. EXHIBITS: FIRST IN THEIR FIELD OPENED JULY 19, 2022, REFRESHING THE AAGPBL GALLERY; FORGING INNOVATION OPENED JULY 30, 2022; FIGHTING FEAR: PANDEMICS PAST AND PRESENT, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ST.
