	2022 Program Accomplishments include, issuing new recommendations for sustaining and strengthening Medicare Advantage; endorsing bipartisan legislation to improve prior authorization for seniors, culminating in the unanimous House passage of the Improving Seniors Timely Access to Care Act; held impactful roundtable events with lawmakers in seven states and recognized support through leadership awards; led lobbying efforts that saw a new bipartisan record for MA support in Congress including 409 members of U.S. House and U.S. Senate went on-record in 2022 with their support of MA; commissioned meaningful research on topics including behavioral health coverage, supplemental benefits, consumer costs, and best practices in addressing social determinants of health; held timely in-person events throughout 2022, including our supplemental benefits convening, a forum to advance health equity in Medicare Advantage, and our 2022 Medicare Advantage Summit; grew the alliance membership to over 200 organizations; increased beneficiary grassroots support to include over 1 million grassroots beneficiaries nationwide; and other similar activities. Research and Policy: BMA researches, writes, and disseminates explanations, analyses, and recommendations on health policy that is primarily related to Medicare Advantage. BMA also funds research and analytical reports by other organizations for our use and for dissemination to the public. This research is related to timely health policy issues and provides evidence on health care delivery innovations, cost, and outcomes enabled by Medicare Advantage.
