IN AUGUST 2022, WE STARTED A 4 WEEK WORKSHOP FOR NEWER PLAYERS TO LEARN THE BASICS OF THE GAME. IN SEPTEMBER 2022, WE HOSTED A BOOTH AT THE BELLEVUE COLLEGE JAPAN WEEK. SEP 2022 - MAY 2023, WE RAN TWO NEW PROGRAMS, KIDS' TIME AND WOMEN+ NIGHT. IN OCTOBER 2022, WE HOSTED OUR ANNIVERSARY TOURNAMENT ALONG AND PARTY. IN DECEMBER 2022, WE HOSTED OUR FIRST STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE AGA THAT HAD ALMOST 40 PARTICIPANTS. IN JANUARY 2023, WE STARTED A 3 WEEK WEEKLY LECTURE FOR THE LOYAL HEIGHTS COMMUNITY CENTER TO TEACH KIDS THE BASICS OF THE GAME. THAT WAS A VERY POPULAR EVENT THAT LOYAL HEIGHTS GREATLY APPRECIATED. WE RETURNED (AFTER COVID) TO HAVING PAIR GO EVENTS AND PARTIES IN JAN 2023 AND JUN 2023, WITH 30+ ATTENDEES EACH. IN FEBRUARY 2023, WE HAD OUR WINTER TOURNAMENT WITH OUR USUAL MONTHLY HANDICAP SECTION AND AN OPEN SECTION FOR STRONG PLAYERS. IN MARCH 2023, WE HAD OUR FIRST LIGHTING TOURNAMENT (BLITZ) THAT WAS VERY POPULAR. IN APRIL 2023, WE HAD TWO MAJOR OUTREACH EVENTS WITH SAKURA CON AND CHERRY BLOSSOM WHERE WE TAUGHT GO TO LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE. THEY WERE VERY SUCCESSFUL OUTREACH WITH MANY PEOPLE RETURNING TO BIG EVENTS AFTER COVID. IN MAY 2023, WE ATTENDED THE U DISTRICT STREET FAIR REACHING HUNDREDS OF ATTENDEES AND TEACHING THEM THE GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME. IN MAY 2023, ONE OF OUR DIRECTORS STARTED A WORKSHOP FOR LOW KYUU PLAYERS. IN JUNE 2023, WE HELD A 2 DAY CLASS AT THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL. IN JUNE 2023, A VOLUNTEER TEACHER LECTURED AND DEMONSTRATED GO FOR THE CHOICE ACADEMY MULTICULTURAL NIGHT. WE CONTINUED OUR MONTHLY RATINGS TOURNAMENTS FOR MEMBERS TO RECORD NATIONAL RANKINGS.
