	Every year this organization organizes an Expo for food professionals of all disciplines in the Pacific Northwest. The event conducted on February 28, 2023 was "Supplier Night Expo" focusing on food supplier.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6	We have different levels of membership, namely, premier, premier early carrier, networking and engagement, international joint, emeritus and student. These different levels of membership carried different levels of benefits, discounts of IFT resources. None of them carried any voting rights.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	The Form 990 was distributed to the various officers and a meeting was conducted to discuss any issues that arose.
Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19	The conflict of interest policy is reviewed and discussed periodically. Any member with potential conflict of interest must inform the Board of that potential conflict and will be excused from any discussion or vote on the related issue. The President is expected to make inquiries if a conflict appears to exist while the board member concerned has not made it known.

Explanation:

The bookkeeper came down with a serious illness and could not file the extension that was due on January. 15, 2024. Further, during that time there was a major winter storm in the Pacific Northwest that prevent him from access the relevant records in the office due to icy conditions which prevented the filing of the return by the due date. Based on these circumstances, we have a reasonable cause for late filing and not due to willful neglect.
