What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The purposes of the Organization are: 1. To promote and engage in educational, charitable, civic, and intercultural activities for the benefit of its members and the larger community. 2. To enrich the lives of its members and the larger community by working to promote fellowship and friendship while achieving common goals and pursuing common interests. 3. To carry out the program of the national organization so as to further its effectiveness in our local community.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Minneapolis-Saint Paul Chapter continued its 40-year legacy of awarding scholarships to high school students. The Chapter awarded $32,500 in scholarships during our 2023-2024 program period. The Chapter has expanded its focus on empowering girls of color with a new program series entitled I'm Every Woman. This program will focus on developing young women leaders in the areas of STEM, Business, Sports Management, and Non-Profit. Our International Trends Facet kicked off a new program collaboration with The East African Magnet School. Our focus is to partner with school leaders and families to strengthen reading & financial literacy and improve health outcomes. The first session was a workshop on Black Kidney Kare featuring an East African nephrologist.
