What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Tree Town Festival is organized for the purpose of charity. To have and host charitable events to improve the surrounding community within Forest Ohio and the Riverdale Local School District. The main events are the Tree Town Festival and Church in the Park held annually the first weekend after the 4th of July. The events that weekend include a parade, amateur sporting events, entertainment, contests, and other various activities. A portion of funds raised are distributed numerous Riverdale Local School organizations and other local not for profit organizations. Additionally, funds have been used to improve the local Gormley Park including upgrading the electric and water lines in the park. Funds are also used to purchase emergency equipment for the Forest Volunteer Fire Department and the Jackson Forest Emergency Medical Service.

28 Profit shares were distributed to Riverdale Local School Districts including the FFA, Football team, Music Boosters, Riverdale Junior Class, Volleyball team, and Cross-Country team for their volunteer time at the Tree Town Festival. Riverdale High School has approximately 300 students that benefit from the funds.

Return Reference Explanation
Tree Town Festival Profit sharing and community improvements The Tree Town Festival pays various local school organizations a share of the proceeds each year for manpower at the event. Additionally, two $250 scholarships are awarded each year to two Riverdale Seniors. Several local organizations also received profit shares for their manpower at the festival. The Tree Town Festival has begun a project to improve the electric and lighting at the Gormley Park, Marys Street, Forest Ohio. This will be an ongoing project through 2024. A large freezer was also purchased for use at the all-weather pavilion which has a complete kitchen.
